Turf Management Systems names CEO

Michael Kernaghan will be directly responsible for the health and performance of the organization.

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – Turf Management Systems has appointed Michael Kernaghan to CEO. As a visionary, Kernaghan will be directly responsible for the health and performance of the organization, as well as the success of its operations and strategic planning.

Internally, he will be responsible for ongoing improvement of the organizations business model to ensure maximum productivity and revenue. Externally, he will establish long-term relationships with business partners that enhance the organizations profitability and market position. Kernaghan will also provide financial leadership by managing budgets and monitoring long-term strategic fiscal plans.

Michael Kernaghan joined Turf Management Systems in 1987 and is instrumental in the ongoing growth, development and success of the company.

Kernaghan holds degrees in both horticulture and turfgrass from the University of Guelph. He is a past president of the Professional Lawn Care Association of America and is currently a member of PLANET and the International Franchise Association.

Turf Management Systems is the corporate head office for the Weed Man franchise, which was established in 1970. Over the past 40 years, Weed Man has grown to more than 350 franchises across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, with a customer base of more than 350,000.
