GREENFIELD, Wis. - The Krueger family of Northwoods Nursery of Rhinelander will host the upcoming Wisconsin Nursery Association’s (WNA) Summer Field Day and Trade Show Aug. 12.
The event will be held on the grounds of the Stella Town Hall, which is situated amidst acres of nursery fields. With tours of Northwoods going in two different directions departing from the Town Hall grounds, attendees will have the opportunity to see the propagation Northwoods does, along with their container yards and their many acres of field grown plants. Tours will take place in the morning and in the afternoon on Field Day, which runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is free. Lunch is available at Northwoods, but requires pre-registration and mailing in $15 by August 4th. For a registration form, call (414) 529-4705 or go to www.wgif.net .
There will be a free raffle, free tours, and a bundle of specials available only to those attending the event. One of the highlights of the WNA Summer Field Day is the WNA Horticulture Research and Scholarship Auction at 2:15 p.m. Many of the show’s exhibitors donate items from their booth to be auctioned, with the proceeds going toward scholarships for students of horticulture in Wisconsin, as well as WNA educational programs and research projects.
The latest plants, equipment, and hardscapes will be on display.
