PLANET's Legislative Day offers CEUs

HERNDON, Va.— Landscape industry certified professionals have an opportunity to earn CEUs at the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) Legislative Day on the Hill and Renewal & Remembrance at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., July 18–20. Up to 4.5 CEUs qualify toward PLANET recertification if attending the Communications Training Sessions on July 18 and the Legislative Briefings on July 19.

July 2 is the registration deadline for Legislative Day on the Hill and Renewal & Remembrance at Arlington National Cemetery, which provide PLANET members with the opportunity to take a stand on the issues affecting the green industry with their members of Congress, as well as to help beautify some of the most cherished and hallowed grounds in the United States.

In order to participate in the Hill visits, members will need to have arranged and confirmed appointments with their members of Congress prior to arriving in Washington, D.C. It’s important to make follow-up calls to the legislators to confirm appointments or to ask PLANET to make the follow-up call, and then inform PLANET as appointments are confirmed.

The Irrigation Association will partner with PLANET to host this year’s events, whose Platinum Sponsors are Husqvarna Outdoor Products and Syngenta.

PLANET’s Landscape Industry Certified status is a broad and powerful distinction for individuals who have taken their experience, skills, and desire for excellence to the next level by studying, testing and becoming certified and recertifying every two years.
