Spring Valley hires new manager

JACKSON, Wis. – Spring Valley hired Joe Smith as their new sales manager on Thursday. In his new role, Smith will provide leadership and direction to a team of sales representatives covering all channels of distribution.

Spring Valley is a manufacturer of professional and retail fertilizers and ice melters.

Based in Jackson, Wis., Smith draws on 13 years of experience in a number of sales management positions. Most recently, he was key account manager at Diversey, where he was responsible for creating and executing strategic sales plans and national distribution programs while leading and coaching a group of sales professionals. Prior to that, Smith worked at W. W. Grainger and Rustoleum Corporation. He has a BA in business administration and marketing from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis.
