Seamless Solutions launched Landscaping Spanish, an app devoted to job-site Spanish-English communication for all aspects of landscaping.
Landscaping Spanish bridges the language barrier gap on the job with more than 973,000 terms, audio pronunciation, share translation feature and phrasebook categories (general landscaping, planting, mowing, equipment maintenance, hardscape, waterscape, watering, greetings, interviewing, conversation, numbers, measurements, time, managing, firing, emergencies, directions, locations and more).
The whole project began with a search for the word “weed wacker” using a popular online translator and out came the crazy translation “wacker maleza.” Inaccurate online translators, as well as mobile applications that solely rely on online translators, end up producing poor quality translations when it comes to job-specific landscaping terms.
Two books later, the creation of an on-board database and then this new app “Landscaping Spanish” was born.
The app also has a speech speed regulator, reverse look up, as well as history and favorites.
The next update on July 1st, 2013 will include an added “Just for Fun” phrasebook category for a few laughs on the job.
