Join the NJLCA, Bergen County Sheriff, Michael Saudino and Under Sheriff Brian Smith to get the inside scoop on the recent merger of the Bergen County Sheriff's Department and the Bergen County Police Department, and how it will affect you.
On Thursday, June 11 get a real education on the rules of the road. The police have a responsibility to keep the roads and highways safe for everyone. If you're operating your trucks and trailers safely, and following the rules of the road, you really should have nothing to worry about. However, if you are an accident waiting to happen, rest assured you run the risk of being pulled over and ticketed.
Keeping your truck/trailer safe and compliant is an investment, compared to the cost of traffic fines. A truck and trailer with a three-man crew sitting on the side of the road as they get a roadside inspection, plus impounding is much more expensive. What about your auto insurance, do you think it's going to go up or down?
The meeting with includ a hands-on roadside truck and trailer inspection to show you how easy it is to be safe and compliant. Learn about some of the obvious "red flags" that make you a candidate for a costly roadside inspection by the police. We will show you and your employees how to do their own "pre-flight" safety checks before they leave the yard in the morning. The NJLCA will be handing out safety checklists for everyone who attends.
