In recognition of the top 100 companies in the industry, last week Lawn & Landscape held its first ever Top 100 awards event in Cleveland, Ohio.
The two-day event, sponsored by Toro and Nufarm, featured a keynote, three panels, plenty of networking and a tour of Cleveland.
Click here to read about Keynote Phil Gwoke, who spoke to the audience about the generation gap and how to better understand millenials, Gen Xers and Boomers.
To read about what was said between Brian DuMont (Yard-Nique), Joe Ciffolillo (Greenscape), Jason Craven (Southern Botanical) and Jeff Sebert (Sebert Landscape) when they discussed best practices, click here.
The second panel of the event discussed mergers and acquisitions, as well as coming up with exit strategies. Click here to see what Mike Bogan (LandCare), Dean Murphy (Terracare Associates) and Phil Key (Ruppert Companies) had to say about how they do acquisitions.
Hiring is a hot topic in this industry, as was apparent from the energetic panel highlighting hiring and retaining strategies, and what your company can do to develop leaders. John Gibson (Swingle Lawn, Tree and Landscape care), Jen Lemcke (Weed Man USA), Christy Webber (Christy Webber Landscapes) and Tim Portland (Yellowstone Landscape) taught the crowd their tricks and tips, which can be found here.
