The Davey Tree Expert Company of Canada welcomed Pat Perry as vice president of safety and employment development while The Davey Institute added on A.D. Ali as manager of technical services.
Perry joined Davey Tree in 1986 and held various field and management positions relating to leadership, policy development, quality assurance, human resources and more. His promotion to vice president of safety and employee development comes after a 2016 promotion to Canadian safety director.
“Pat is a decisive and innovative leader for our company,” said James Doyle, executive vice president and general manager of Davey Tree Expert Company of Canada. “For more than 30 years he has continuously focused on the importance of safe and excellent client service.”
Ali takes on the role of manager of technical services after joining Davey Tree in 1998 as technical advisor. Ali has written books on pest management in the landscape as well as scientific and trade-oriented articles in his 30 years in the green industry.
“A.D. has an enthusiasm and technical expertise that both our service lines and clients have come to rely on over the years,” said Jim Zwack, general manager of the Davey Institute.
Perry also serves as chair of the board of directors for HortEducation British Columbia and Ali is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Board Certified Master Arborist.
