ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Heads Up Landscape Contractors has begun its 40 Trees in 40 Weeks tree plantings around the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area. To date, honey locust trees have been planted at Monte Vista Church, Animal Humane of New Mexico, Road Runner Food Bank and Christina Kent Day School. Trees are scheduled to be planted in June at seven more charities, organizations and businesses in the area.
“It’s part of our 40th anniversary celebration,” says Heads Up founder and CEO Gary Mallory. “The locations were chosen from suggestions by customers and followers on Facebook and Twitter as places that could use a new tree, or a tree to replace one that is dead or dying. Each location has committed to ensuring proper irrigation and care of their tree. We’ll be following the trees’ growth and ensure that they are being properly maintained, too.”
