Green Scene Lawn and Pest Control of Noblesville, Indiana has partnered with Project EverGreen to participate in the GreenCare for Troops program.
GreenCare for Troops offers landscape and lawn care services to currently deployed military personnel, post 9/11 veterans with a service-connected wound or disability, and their families free of charge. They have assisted over 10,000 military families since their start in 2007.
According to Code, the executive director of Project EverGreen, there are around 160,000 active-duty U.S. military personal deployed and a number of wounded and disabled veterans.
“The need to support the families of those holding down the home front is significant,” Code said.
Along with other lawn care companies in the US, Green Scene Lawn and Pest will donate their time and service through GreenCare for Troops to help military families and disabled/wounded veterans who need assistance with landscape and lawn care.
“We have sponsored several families in the past and we currently have a family in Indianapolis area that we are working with for Project Evergreen,” said Todd Crow of Green Scene Lawn and Pest Control. “This is the least we could do to thank someone who has put their life on the line for our country and our safety.”
Interested military families or qualifying disabled veterans are encouraged to register for the GreenCare for Troops program. More information is available at Project EverGreen.
