MANSFIELD, Conn. – The University of Connecticut’s new $5 million floriculture building will feature two classrooms, a 4,000 square-foot research greenhouse, a lobby with retail area, a floral design lab, three walk-in coolers, a plant propagation lab and a green roof covered with plants.
The Connecticut Nursery and Landscape Association last year lobbied the UConn trustees to restore funding for the project under the 21st Century UConn program.
There will be naming opportunities for supporters and companies to affix their names to areas of the new building. More information will be available in a future edition of the Connecticut Nursery and Landscape Association’s magazine.
