Ram Truck is introducing a new gasoline V-8 engine and several new transmissions, and has also released details on forthcoming diesels.
The truck division of Chrysler Group LLC said June 28 that a new 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 will debut for the 2014 model year. The manufacturer said that two versions of the engine will be produced – one for Ram HD pickups and another for chassis cab models – and said that each engine will be “optimized” for the vehicles’ duty cycles.
