GAITHERSBURG, Md. – Peter Kirsch has joined Brickman as executive vice president. As a member of the corporate executive team, Kirsch’s focus will be to provide leadership and guidance in the sales and marketing arena, and to assist Brickman in continuing their growth across the U.S.
“I am very pleased to have Pete join the team,” says CEO Scott Brickman. “My father and I have known him for over 20 years. His unique knowledge of both the landscape industry and the business world made him the perfect choice to help lead the evolution and continued growth of our business.”
Kirsch spent the past ten years as the chief of staff for James Kimsey, the founder of AOL, where he gained an insider’s knowledge of a variety of enterprises, including commercial, government and non-profit entities. Prior to his work with Kimsey, Kirsch spent time as the CEO of a technology company and for the ten years prior, he led the American Society of Landscape Architects as the executive director. He has also worked extensively in the lawn and garden industry as a public relations consultant.
“The Brickman team is the class of the industry,” says Kirsch. “I’m thrilled to bring my experiences of the past ten years, combined with my previous work in the industry at ASLA, to Brickman. Scott and his team have grown this business to be the biggest and the best in the country, I am fortunate and excited to be on their team.”
The company says the newly created role is a signal that it is ready to take the next step in achieving its mission of leading the landscape industry in quality and customer service nationwide.
