OMAHA, Neb. – Retriever Insecticide is the newest direct-inject chemical product from ArborSystems for use in the Wedgle Direct-Inject Tree Injection System. It will be on display at their exhibit (#821) during the International Society of Arboriculture International Conference and Trade Show, July 28 - Aug. 2 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Md. The ISA Trade Show is open July 31 – Aug. 1.
“Arborists, urban foresters and tree care professionals can try hands-on demonstrations of our advanced tree technology system to see how chemicals are delivered fast and effectively without drilling damage and virtually no environmental exposure associated with foliage spray, soil injection or drenching,” said Chip Doolittle, president of ArborSystems in Omaha, Neb. “Our newest product, Retriever Insecticide, controls Aphids, Caterpillars, Scale, Japanese Beetles, Leaf Miners, Leafhoppers and other pests." Retriever Insecticide is available in 120 ml and 1000 ml Quick-Connect Chemical Packs. It is for tree injection application to ornamental or non-bearing fruit and nut trees.
Retriever contains the active ingredient Acetamiprid and is formulated to translocate in the tree’s vascular system when injected.
The Wedgle is a no-drill tree treatment system -- an easy, fast and tree-friendly way to treat almost any tree in five minutes or less. It’s application method does not require a drilled hole. Also, there is no mixing in the field, waiting for uptake of chemicals, guarding during draining process or need for power, pumps or return trips by applicators.
ArborSystems chemicals are used with their Direct-Inject Tree Injection System as an injection into the flare or base of the tree to ensure even distribution through the tree’s vascular system. It places the chemical deep into the active areas where it can be easily absorbed. Chemicals are delivered at a known dose rate.
“Tree trunk injections are a tree-friendly way to treat trees and plants by tree, turf and ornamental specialists while increasing the number of trees treated per day using our system,” said Doolittle. “Children and pets are not exposed to chemical spray or open chemical containers and there is no need to cover outdoor toys, play equipment, pools, furniture or vehicles.”
