COLUMBUS, Ohio – RISE (Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment) held its first-ever member event at the OFA Short Course Convention. RISE connected with members and their customers at a breakfast for 50 leaders focused on grassroots engagement and networking. Hosted by the Association of Horticulture Professionals, the Short Course is the largest horticultural trade show in the United States, happened July 13-16 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.
“Being at OFA is a great way for us to reach out to those in horticulture to learn about their issues and to talk about the importance of grassroots engagement on pesticide and fertilizer issues at the local and state levels,” said Dan Stahl, OHP and RISE Governing Board Member.
“We really appreciate the opportunity to be here with allies and friends, along with the hospitality shown to us by the Association of Horticulture Professionals,” said Aaron Hobbs, president of RISE. “The Short Course gives us one more opportunity to strengthen our relationship with horticulture users of our industry’s products and to promote their direct engagement in the discussion about our products and their importance to growers and retailers.”
