Clients in Scottsdale, Arizona, asked Desert Foothills Landscape’s designer, Jake Plocher, if he could transform a dismal and tired look to an over-the-top resort-style setting. The homeowners are from the east coast and expressed difficulty transitioning from harsh wet winters and tropical summers to dry and hot heat. They wanted the company to combine the lush feel of the tropics with the rather difficult climate of the desert.
