DENVER, Colo. – Swingle Lawn, Tree & Landscape Care was recently awarded the 2016 Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Employer Safety Award.
“25 years ago, Swingle was one of the first group of Colorado companies to be accredited with the Premium Cost Containment Program designation,” said Tom Tolkacz, Swingle CEO and owner. “I’m proud that our organization has maintained a commitment to safety for every team member on our staff, securing our place as the tree care experts for nearly 70 years. It’s truly what sets us apart from the competition.”
The award is part of the state’s Premium Cost Containment Program, which helps employers find ways to control workforce injuries and insurance-related costs. Swingle became certified in the program in 1992.
“It is an honor to be recognized as a true leader in safety. We continue to support a company culture focusing on safe practices – a foundation of all our daily activities while completing services for customers,” said John Gibson, Swingle president.
Now in its 25th year, the Premium Cost Containment Program has more than 6,000 employers certified in the program. The Workplace Safety Awards were announced at a Silver Anniversary reception at the Governor’s Executive Residence on Wednesday, July 20.
