Worcester, Mass. – The Board of Directors of Curtis Industries appointed Scott Nelson CEO and president effective immediately. Nelson succeeded a retiring John Rachwalski who will remain on the board of directors and a consultant to the company.
With 26 years of experience in the construction equipment industry, Nelson was most recently president EMEA for Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment and was previously CEO of Doosan Infracore International, which included Bobcat Co., Ingersoll Rand Portable Power and the attachments business unit sold by Ingersoll Rand in December 2007. He successfully led the sale and integration of these businesses into Doosan, which is today one of the largest construction equipment manufacturers in the world. Prior to joining Doosan, Nelson held a variety of leadership positions with Bobcat Co. including president Americas and VP sales and marketing. “We are excited to have a professional with Scott’s experience join Curtis Industries,” said John Rachwalski. “He is a highly talented senior leader with an impressive record of success that covers a wide range of industries and countries.” Rachwalski added, “Scott will be a tremendous asset as Curtis Industries continues to grow and expand.”
