ROUGEMONT, N.C. – Hoffman Nursery, wholesale grower of ornamental and native grass liners, announced the reorganization of its sales and marketing departments. Since 2006, Jennifer Arenkiel has served as sales and customer service manager for the nursery. This fall, Arenkiel will be leaving North Carolina and moving to Houston, Texas with her family. Arenkiel has been instrumental in Hoffman Nursery’s success, and her warmth, enthusiasm, and professional approach have earned a loyal customer following.
With Arenkiel’s departure, Hoffman Nursery will merge sales, customer service and marketing into a single department. Shannon Currey, currently serving as director of marketing, will head the newly minted sales and marketing department. She will ensure that marketing efforts are coordinated with sales initiatives, bringing much-needed information to customers.
At the heart of the new department are sales and customer service representatives Magan Agee and Brendan Wein. Agee has been with Hoffman Nursery since last August and has come quickly to love grasses and working with the nursery’s customers. She has experience in retail and the service industry, and her cheerfulness and attention to detail make her a customer favorite. Wein came to Hoffman Nursery in early 2010 with training in urban horticultural and landscape design. He has eight years of experience as a nursery manager in an independent retail garden center in North Carolina. Before that, he spent seven years in the landscaping business in Arizona and Pennsylvania. His experience in the retail and landscaping world, his plant knowledge, and his humor serve him well as he gets to know the Nursery’s customers.
