Dicentra Series available to landscapers

CANBY, Ore. – Terra Nova Nurseries has made the Dicentra Amore series available to landscapers. The collection includes two new varieties, Dicentra ‘Amore Rose’ (bottom) and Dicentra ‘Amore Pink’ (top). As a whole, the series has superior vigor with a dwarf habit and produces bountiful flowers throughout the spring and summer months. Landscapers can take advantage of the series’ ability to perform well in woodland and shade gardens to satisfy varying visions of design.

‘Amore Rose’ blooms bright, rose-pink flowers over compact mounds of feathery foliage. In addition to an impressive flower count, it has extended bloom time from May to August. A great planting partner to several shade plants, the experts at Terra Nova Nurseries recommend pairing this with Pulmonaria ‘Trevi Fountain’ and Corydalis ‘Blue Panda’. ‘Amore Pink’ blooms an abundance of light pink flowers, accentuated by contrasting blue foliage. For landscape professionals looking to include a dicentra similar to Terra Nova Nurseries’ ‘King of Hearts’, ‘Amore Pink’ is a good choice with its bigger, pinker flowers.
