FMC announces rebate on Talstar XTRA insecticide

PHILADELPHIA – From now until October 31, 2011, turf professionals will receive $5.00 off per bag when purchasing five or more bags of Talstar XTRA granular insecticide from FMC Professional Solutions, a business unit of FMC Corp.

With the addition of zeta-cypermethrin, a new active ingredient designed for accelerated knockdown and kill, Talstar XTRA provides knockdown of fire ants, broad-spectrum control of many surface-feeding pests and long residual.

Talstar XTRA is labeled for use against most ants, (including fire ants), chinch bugs, fleas, ticks, earwigs, scorpions, crane flies and many other lawn pests. It is approved for broadcast lawn, perimeter and mound treatments on residential lawns, institutional grounds, around buildings, parks, recreational areas and athletic fields. In addition, Talstar XTRA is not labeled as “restricted use” by the EPA.
