LAKE WYLIE, S.C. — The National Association of Landscape Professionals awarded Kurt Thompson, owner of K. Thompson and Associates, as one of its Irrigation & Water Management Trailblazers. The Trailblazers are a group of individuals nominated by their peers for being professionals who have made significant and long-term contributions to the landscape industry.
Thompson is one of more than 150 Trailblazers who received this designation from NALP. Thompson has worked in the landscape and irrigation industry since 1982, working in landscape and irrigation construction and service, wholesale distribution, irrigation manufacturing, and water use consulting and training.
In addition, Thompson has been educating contractors, architects, designers and golf course superintendents since 1988. He also serves as a contributing author of Irrigation – Sixth Edition and a co-author of The Irrigation Contractor Exam Study Guide.
