NOKESVILLE, Va. - Those interested in learning to design a rain garden can take part in a workshop in October. This technical training for professionals will use case studies and hands-on exercises to provide a solid foundation in site selection and analysis, and sizing and design of rain gardens.
Construction and installation tips, as well as maintenance considerations will be included, along with a tour of the 300 square-foot rain garden on site.
The workshop is Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Merrimac Farm Wildlife Management Area in Nokesville, Va.
