TruGreen acquires Boston company

Noon Turf Care is now part of the lawn care giant.

According to Noon Turf Care's website, the company has been acquired by TruGreen. The statement on the site reads:

"Noon Turf Care is pleased to announce that we have joined forces with TruGreen, America's #1 lawn care company. By combining the resources of both companies, our customers will continue to receive the same excellence in programs and services that they've come to expect over the years from Noon.

"Our customers will experience no change in the cost of their services or the number of visits they're scheduled to receive. A TruGreen specialist will treat your lawn as scheduled, and will always leave a service summary describing the treatment and information you need between treatments.

"Customers will begin to see the TruGreen logo on our service trucks, customer communications and billing information. TruGreen's Healthy Lawn Guarantee promises to gladly visit your property as often as needed between scheduled visits to make any necessary adjustments and to ensure your satisfaction.*

"We are excited about our partnership with TruGreen, and together we will continue providing our customers with a lawn and landscape that they can be proud of."

Noon Turf Care was a $10 million business located in Boston. This marks the first significant acquistion by TruGreen since David Alexander became president in December of 2012. Alexander told Lawn & Landscape in May that he would describe TruGreen's current apporach to acquisitions as historic.

"So, if you go back two or three years, and you look at how TruGreen was acquiring, that’s kind of what we want to do now," Alexander said. "We want to invest – it’s not a small number, it’s in the millions. So we want to invest in acquisitions and this is the year we’ll start back." Read the full interview here.
