OXFORD, Miss. — Jeff McManus, the University of Mississippi’s director of landscape services, and airport and golf operations, published a new book titled Growing Weeders into Leaders: Leadership Lessons from the Ground Up. The book provides a collection of leadership lessons from the ground level. McManus intended for the book to be an inspirational guide for businesses and other readers.
McManus has worked at the University of Mississippi since 2000. This marks the second book McManus released. In 2015, he also published Pruning Like a Pro. In addition, McManus won the Professional Grounds Management Society’s President’s Award in 2016 and he was also named the Auburn University Department of Horticulture’s outstanding alumnus in 2016.
