Join a Florida Irrigation Society sponsored Exam Preparation Workshop to prepare to take the required exams required to obtain a Florida Irrigation Contractor license. The webinar format will allow those in remote areas or with limited travel time to participate in FIS classes designed specifically for irrigation contractors.

Sept. 28-29 – Technical webinar; 4 - 8 p.m.
December
Dec. 6-8 – Business and Finance webinar; 4 - 8 p.m.
Dec. 14-15 – Technical webinar; 4 - 8 p.m.
The sessions will be recorded so attendees can access them after the instruction period has ended. The webinars are 100 percent virtual - no need to travel. Registered attendees will be given a link to the webinar and instructions on how to participate.
Fee covers: Live instruction by experienced exam prep instructor who has passed the license exam and study guides. Books are not included in fee. No Pass Guarantee: If attendee fails the exam, he/she may retake the workshop at no cost within 12 months of the exam.
Books: The irrigation contractor licensing exam is an open book exam. Books allowed as reference during the State Exam are recommended that webinar attendees have available for use during the session(s). A list of bookstores where you can purchase the books for members is available on the FIS website or by contacting the FIS Office.
Topics covered in workshop: Business and Finance: Establishing the contracting business, managing administrative duties, managing trade operations, conducting accounting functions, managing human resources and complying with government regulations. Technical: General review of content areas on the irrigation exam, and Florida exam, test-taking strategies, simplified method to perform math calculations, how to tab books for easy reference during exam, best use of time during exam and practice exams.
