National Green Centre scheduled for Jan. 8-9

The event, held in Kansas City, will feature the 2nd Annual Sweet Melissa Fashion Show and educational sessions.

The National Green Centre, presented by the Western Nursery & Landscape Association, will return to Greater Kansas City (Overland Park Convention Center) Jan. 8 & 9, 2012, as it continues its annual rotation between Kansas City and St Louis. The 2012 event will feature the 2nd Annual Sweet Melissa Fashion Show: the hottest new plants in horticulture (last year’s show sold out), a trade show showcasing international, national and regional green industry suppliers and world-class education.

Show highlights include:

The 2nd Annual Sweet Melissa Fashion Show: the hottest new plants in horticulture. Watch as 50 new plants are showcased on the fashion show runway, complete with models, music and lights. New plants from Ball Horticultural Co., EuroAmerican Propagators, Greenleaf Nursery Co., Honey Creek Nursery, J. Frank Schmidt & Son Co., LCN Selections, PlantHaven, Plantpeddler and Spring Meadow Nursery and more will make their debut in Kansas City.

Education: integrating the green industry. The world-class education at the 2012 National Green Centre will include:
