WEST BEND, Wis. – In support of the communities and families affected by Hurricane Harvey, Manitou Americas has announced a $10,000 donation to the American Red Cross and is challenging their suppliers to match their donation through The Manitou Challenge donation campaign.
“Our thoughts are with those impacted by this devastating storm, and we stand ready with support as communities begin the steps to recovery,” said Rick Alton, president of the Manitou Group Compact Equipment Product Division. “We are fortunate to have strong and committed suppliers and, by partnering with them, we are hoping to make an even greater impact on relief efforts as families and businesses begin the recovery process.”
Manitou Americas is headquartered in West Bend, Wis., and provides a wide range of material handling, dirt engaging and forklift equipment sold under the Gehl, Manitou and Mustang brands. The company has three manufacturing facilities in the United States, including one located in Waco, Texas.
“Thousands of our close business partners, families and friends have been affected by Hurricane Harvey, and we would like to support them in this challenging time,” said Martin Simard, plant manager at the Manitou manufacturing facility in Waco, Texas. “I am urging all of our suppliers to reach out and support relief efforts through the American Red Cross and The Manitou Challenge.”
