KENT, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company has promoted Dan Joy to Executive Vice President and General Manager of Commercial Landscape Services and broadened his role to overseeing Davey’s Operations Support group, which includes safety, equipment, purchasing and the recruiting and development functions.
Joy has more than 38 years of experience in the green industry. Joy has worked in multiple areas of Davey Tree, starting in the utility division before transitioning to the residential division and then the commercial landscape management division. He has been the recipient of some of the company’s most prestigious awards, including three “Outstanding Manager” awards and one “Best of Davey Leadership” award. He is also a past member of Davey’s President’s Council.
Karl Warnke, Davey’s chairman, president and CEO, said Joy’s promotion to executive vice president aligns with the company’s strategic plan for growth, executive development and providing excellent client service.
“Dan is a seasoned and successful executive who possesses the skills necessary to advance these extremely important support functions,” Warnke said. “His drive and many years of field experience will serve him well in this position.”
