The Irrigation Association invites people to share irrigation product ideas and receive valuable feedback from industry leaders during the IA Pitcher’s Mound from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Irrigation Show. The association extended the deadline for idea submissions to Wednesday, Sept. 27.
To qualify to share a 10-minute pitch at the IA Pitcher’s Mound, product ideas must meet the following criteria:
• The product has not been available in the marketplace for purchase prior to Sept. 30, 2017.
• The product exists as a beta model or is in beta testing.
• The presenter has the rights to promote, sell and represent the product.
The IA Pitcher’s Mound is modeled after the TV show “Shark Tank,” and it was developed to help inventors, entrepreneurs and others in the irrigation arena bring new products to market. The 2017 event will include a special guest appearance from former “Shark Tank” success story and creator of the tree T-PEE, Johnny Georges. Georges plans to speak about his experiences on the show and how pitching his product idea changed his life.
