STAMFORD, CONN. – Eastern Land Management (ELM), a commercial landscape management company, has received an Overall Safety Achievement Award from PLANET.
The award recognizes and honors ELM’s commitment to consistently providing safe work environments in the green industry. Sponsored by CNA, the 7th largest U.S. commercial insurer, the award program is part of PLANET’s annual Safety Recognition Awards Program.
ELM was evaluated, along with several other companies in the industry, on overall number of accidents, number of days that employees were away from work, and reported injuries and illnesses. The company was also rated based on its safety programs.
“We take employee safety very seriously and we are delighted to receive recognition for our efforts,” said ELM’s President Bruce T. Moore, Sr. “Providing a safe working environment keeps our employees on the job, and also gives our clients piece of mind that fewer accidents will occur at their place of business. It should be a priority for any company in the landscaping industry.”
