The Ohio Nursery & Landscape Association will host an event to educate members on the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio's revised rules.
The Motor Carrier Transportation Safety regulations have changed for businesses utilizing vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating of 10,001 to 26,000 pounds when it comes to transporting property or passengers on a not-for-hire basis within Ohio. The regulations apply to many truck and trailer combinations.
PUCO Transportation Department/Enforcement Division Chief Milan Orbovich will give a free presentation that covers: Revised driver qualifications, new record-keeping regulations, vehicle inspection, repair and maintenance requirements, vehicle marking and equipment lists.
The free event will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4 at the Best Western Columbus North -- 888 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus. Registration is required by the November 1, and can be found on ONLA's website here.
