MOUNDRIDGE, Kan. – GIE+EXPO attendees in Louisville, Ky., will have the opportunity to meet Tim Hudson at the Grasshopper indoor booth #9130. He will sign autographs and take pictures with fans at various times throughout the day on Oct. 26.
“I’m excited to meet with fans and Grasshopper enthusiasts and hear about their mowing experiences,” says Hudson. “And, of course, talk a little baseball, too.”
Hudson, a right-hander, played six seasons for the Oakland Athletics before joining the Braves in 2005. With a winning record in each of his 14 major league seasons, Hudson ranks 24th all-time among pitchers with a .654 career winning percentage. In 2000, he led the American League in wins and finished second in Cy Young Award voting.
In addition to his prowess on the mound, Hudson is also a dedicated family man and philanthropist. Along with his wife, Kim, they established the Hudson Family Foundation in 2009, which has raised more than $650,000 to help children and families in need throughout Georgia and Alabama. The couple also works with Make-A-Wish Foundation by hosting children at Turner Field throughout the season.
Hudson has been nominated 10 times for the Roberto Clemente Award – four times by the Athletics and six times by the Braves – which recognizes those players who best exemplify the game of baseball, sportsmanship, community involvement and contributions to their teams.
