DFD Loaders announces U.S. distribution of Schäffer construction wheel loaders

It’s the first time the brand has been widely available in the US.

Schäffer, the German brand of compact and telescopic articulated loaders, is now available in the U.S. via Florida-based distributor DFD Loaders. Beginning in Q4 of 2018, U.S. buyers can choose from 13 models ranging from 25 to 157 hp.

The brand’s partnership with distributor DFD Loaders marks the first time its construction equipment line will be widely available in the U.S. “U.S. distribution is an important milestone for our brand, so finding a partner that shares our commitment for superior quality and service, such as DFD Loaders, was a must,” said Mario Middeke, export sales manager at Schäffer.

Rachel Boutet, chief marketing officer, said DFD wanted to ensure operators would have quick access to service and maintenance, so a network was set up that allows parts to be shipped from Germany in 48 hours. There are also mobile service techs available to come to the operators and their machines.

Schäffer’s U.S. product lineup meets EPA Tier 4 Final/EU Stage IIIB emission standards and is compatible with most skid-steer attachments in the market due to a universal quick-connect headstock, which comes standard.

Other design features include patented technology which makes the center pivot considerably stronger, as well as original Schäffer axles designed specifically for high thrust forces.

The machines are small enough to fit through convetional 36 inch gates while still being able to lift 3,000 pounds.
