John Deere added two new commercial zero-turn radius mowers to its line up – the ZTrak Z945M and ZTrak Z955M models. The two models offer Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) engines with higher horsepower for increased fuel efficiency and power in varied mowing conditions.
The Z945M, featuring a 27 HP (20.1 kW), 824 cc EFI engine, and the Z955M, featuring a 29 HP (21.6 kW), 824 cc EFI engine, are available with multiple deck offerings – 60-inch side discharge or 60-inch Mulch On Demand (MOD) is available on both models, and a 72-inch side discharge is also available on the Z955M.
The new mowers also offer an optional premium suspension seat on the M and R series machines. The newly designed seat offers a thicker bottom cushion, additional padding on the back with ergonomic contouring, and adjustable armrests to improve ride comfort and the overall mowing experience.
There is an enlarged and angled fuel filler neck to complete fueling with less mess on all new Z900 Series ZTrak mowers.
In addition to the ZTO expansion, the company also increased the availability of the MICHELIN X TWEEL TURF Airless Radial Tire for the R Series QuikTrak stand-on mowers. The airless radial tire is now available for purchase with a 2018 John Deere R Series QuikTrak mower, or as a standalone parts purchase.
Because it is an airless radial tire, the product eliminates flats, improving uptime. Additionally, the cost of repairs and maintenance is reduced, positively impacting the business’ bottom line.
With the MICHELIN X TWEEL TURF Airless Radial Tire, professional landscaper contractors no longer need to spend time checking and optimizing tire pressure, as no air is required. In addition to the resulting productivity benefits, the product provides a more consistent height of cut, as there is no fluctuating tire pressure.
With the use of the MICHELIN X TWEEL TURF product, contractors can also expect a longer tire life, as it lasts two to three times longer than a pneumatic tire with equal tread depth.
The MICHELIN X TWEEL TURF Airless Radial Tire for QuikTrak stand-on mowers will be available for purchase in 2018 from John Deere dealers.
