Chevron launches fuel system treatment

SAN RAMON, Calif., – Chevron Products Company, a Chevron U.S.A. division, introduced its new Techron Protection Plus Powersports & Small Engine Fuel System Treatment. Following research, development and testing, it’s now available for order by distributors, dealerships and retailers nationwide.

Engineered by Chevron for use in machines ranging from 200-horsepower Superbike engines to a wide range of engines in agriculture, construction, equipment rental, lawn care, logging, turf management and countless other industries, its proprietary formula optimizes performance, prevents and removes gum and varnish, improves engine responsiveness reduces emissions and stabilizes fuel to keep it fresh for up to 24 months.

Techron’s latest engine treatment was designed to restore performance and optimize fuel efficiency as it cleans injectors, throttles bodies, carburetors and combustion chambers. It also dissolves intake valve deposits, gum and varnish buildup, resulting in smoother idling and enhanced throttle response.

Fuel stabilization is built in with Techron’s proprietary, alcohol- and emulsifier-free formula, which does not contribute to water uptake. Safe for use in all two- and four-stroke engines, it’s ideal for ethanol-free gasoline and equipped to fight off harmful effects of low-quality ethanol-blended fuels, from E10 to E85.

Powersports applications include, but are not limited to: Motorcycles, scooters, sport and utility ATVs and UTVs, watercraft, karts and snowmobiles. Small engine applications covering both commercial and residential engines include blowers, chain saws, drills, generators, lawnmowers, power washers, pumps, saws, snow blowers, shredders, sprayers, tillers, trimmers and vacuums, to name a few.

One ounce of this formula is required to treat four gallons of fuel.  Techron Powersports & Small Engine Treatment is offered in three sizes: 4 oz. size (in a counter display), 10 oz. bottles and a value-sized, 1-gallon jug.
