WACO, Texas – Six service brands under The Dwyer Group have been named to the Military Times 2017 Top Franchises for Veterans list.
Out of a list of 43 companies, Dwyer Group brands ranked as follows; Mr Handyman (#24), Mr. Appliance (#27), Molly Maid (#28), The Grounds Guys (#34), Aire Serv (#39), and Rainbow International (#42)
The announcement coincides with the 25th anniversary of VetFran, a program started by Dwyer Group’s late founder Don Dwyer Sr., as a pathway to business ownership and civilian life for military veterans. More than 82 percent of responding companies to the Military Times survey indicated that they are affiliated with VetFran.1
“Don Dwyer was a true visionary when he first created VetFran in 1991 to honor our men and women in the military with a path towards business ownership after their service,” said Mike Bidwell, CEO of Dwyer Group. “To see the program continue to grow across so many franchisors today is the ultimate tribute to his dream. We are honored that six of our brands are recognized by Military Times for their strong support and partnership with veterans and we continue to promote the VetFran opportunity across all Dwyer Group service brands.”
To be considered for the Military Times Top Franchises for Veterans list, the brands filled out a detailed survey, comprising more than 100 questions and submitted their most recent franchise disclosure documents, which are forms with required details on franchise cost and performance that must be given to prospective franchisees.
