Online registration opened for the Green & Growin’ 2018 (G&G’18), which takes place Jan. 15-19 in Greensboro, North Carolina. The show features three days of CEU-infused G&G Education (Jan. 15-17) and G&G Marketplace (Jan. 18-19). Click here for more details about registration.
The G&G’18 program includes more than 50 sessions presented by green industry and business experts. Topping that list are keynote sessions with Eric Chester and Bryce Lane. On Jan. 16, Chester presents, “On Fire at Work – How Great Leaders Ignite Passion in their People,” which will provide an inside look at how top corporations engage and inspire excellence.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Eric Chester keynoting Green & Growin’ 18,” said Corey Connors, executive vice president of the North Carolina Nursery and Landscape Association (NCNLA). “The considerable growth in our education attendance over the last two years has allowed us to bring in the top national expert to address the most timely and challenging topic in our industry: how to find, keep and engage great employees.”
On Jan. 17, G&G attendees are invited to Breakfast with Bryce Lane, a green industry leader from North Carolina State University. Lane is the former host of UNC-TV’s public television show, “In the Garden with Bryce Lane.” He plans to discuss changes he has seen and insights he has gained over the course of his career.
G&G’18 features a mobile app with a new registration system and badge scanning technology to automatically track earned CEUs), which debuted last year. The North Carolina Contractors License Review Course will be offered for the first time at G&G’18, as well. It’s one of six specialty and certification classes beginning on Jan. 15. Additionally, Jan. 16-17 offer new sessions in nine education tracks, including one entirely new track called Landscape Design University. A full education schedule is posted here.
Nearly 60 percent of G&G exhibitors are plant producers. Suppliers of landscape and garden materials, tools and equipment suppliers, and green business services providers complete the mix. A full list of exhibitors can be found here.
