Excel names export manager

Jonathan Thyng will work with all export distributors.

Excel Industries, Inc., manufacturer of Hustler Turf Equipment and BigDog Mowers, has named Jonathan Thyng as Export Manager. Thyng will work with all export distributors and be responsible for the export operations and logistics for both product lines.

Thyng joins the Excel team from CHEP USA, Inc., located in Hutchinson, Kan. CHEP USA is a pallet and container pooling services company. It was there that he served as field plant representative overseeing daily issues and collections of pallets while coordinating training, auditing and tracking.

Thyng has served with the U.S. Air Force as KC-135 Fuel Systems Journeyman Mechanic and with the Air Force Reserves as intelligence Operations Specialist, both at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kan. He earned a B.B.A. in Business Economics from Wichita State University where he studied International Relations. Thyng is an honors graduate of the U.S. Air Force Operations Intelligence Analyst Training and a graduate of Air Force Survival School Combat Training Course.
