WNLA gears up for annual exhibition event

The Western features a trade show, education and networking opportunities, and a new plant fashion show.


The Western Nursery & Landscape Association is hosting its annual trade show this year from Jan. 16-18 in Kansas City.

The 2019 Western event includes a new lunch and workshop with Art Vanden Enden, the vice president of retail operations at Sheridan Nurseries. "Hiring right and training,” as well as “merchandising for retail success,” will be the focus of the half-day workshop.

Roy Diblik of Northwind Perennial Farm will present a design workshop, and those partiuclarly interested in native plants can join a Thursday evening gathering co-hosted by the Kansas City Native Plant Initiative. Other sessions include breakfasts with CEOs and other leaders, classes focusing on women in horticulture, 
and an emerging leaders discussion.
