Central TIS launches ice melter

The ice melter will be on display at the New Jersey League of Municipalities conference this week.

Elmsford, NY – Central Turf & Irrigation Supply (Central TIS), a national green industry distributor, has launched its newest private label ice melt line called Central Enhanced Ice Melter. Central Enhanced was created to offer snow removal contractors, and property management companies a lower priced ice melting product that is both affordable and high quality. Previously, Central TIS provided a commercial grade and premium grade ice melt.

“We’ve experienced a lot of success with our Premium and Commercial blends, but we realized we weren’t serving a segment of the market that didn’t need the highest grade ice melt,” says Anthony Luciano, Vice President of Sales at Central Turf & Irrigation Supply. The company launched the new ice melt line with an educational seminar that attracted over 40 small and large scale contractors. On November 12, Central held a Winter Preparation Seminar at its Elmsford, NY warehouse and invited representatives from the New York State Turf and Landscape Association.

Central Enhanced Ice Melt provides a blend of the latest ice melt innovations, with the residential property in mind.

“This past spring we surveyed a group of our customers to find out what they wanted in an ice melt brand and found out some very interesting results,” says Isaac Mathew, Marketing Manager of Central TIS. The key features of the affordable ice melt blend are its safety, dryness, and spreader friendliness. It is safer than higher grade ice melters on vegetation, concrete, and pets. The pellets are triple screened and stays dry so that it prevents clumping in spreaders which reduces time spent on maintenance. The color coding of the ice melt make it easier for snow removal contractors to monitor how much ice melt they are spreading, which reduces waste, and prevents over spreading that can hurt their client’s grounds. Central Turf & Irrigation Supply will also display its new ice melt at the New Jersey League of Municipalities 98th Annual conference between Tuesday, November 19th, and Thursday November 21st in Atlantic City, NJ. They will be located at booth 2208.
