Arborist returns to Almstead

Bill Van Cura worked for the tree and shrub care company in the 90s.

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Almstead Tree & Shrub Care Co. has announced that Bill Van Cura, a certified arborist and an industry stalwart who worked for the company in the 1990s, has returned to its New Rochelle Office. He will be responsible for managing and developing residential and commercial accounts. Van Cura managed the Utilities Division of Almstead during his earlier tenure with the company. Since then, he has worked in various capacities at some of the other leading tree service providers in the country.

“We are very pleased to welcome Bill back. He is well-known in the industry and will be a solid asset to our company,” said Ken Almstead, CEO. “His knowledge and experience will serve him well as he provides our customers with the expertise and service they have come to expect from us.” Along with other senior staff, Van Cura will also mentor technicians and arborists in training at Almstead.

Van Cura has a degree in science from CUNY Cobleskill, and has continued his education at Rutgers University and the University of Connecticut. He is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist and a New Jersey Certified Tree Expert.

“I am very excited to come back to this family-owned company,” said Van Cura. “I look forward to servicing the mix of residential, commercial and municipal clients of the New Rochelle branch.”
