Who: Mariani, a Chicago landscape architecture firm specializing in design, installation, construction and maintenance services
What: Mariani will host the annual Canning for Kids shopping event at its fun and festive Holiday Shoppe located at its Lake Bluff, Illinois. headquarters. Produce canned from local gardens, including pickles, peppers, jams, jellies and honey from the Mariani Bee Hives, will be offered for sale during this charitable event.
The evening’s proceeds, including 100 percent of sales of the canned goods along with donations, will benefit the Ferrer Foundation, an organization that implements educational wellness programs for children in underserved communities in Chicago, focusing on children whose parents are incarcerated. Last year’s event raised more than $5,000 for the organization.
Refreshments, including samples of the canned goods, cider and wine, will be served at this joyous kick-off to the holiday season.
