Washington – A full schedule for The American Nursery & Landscape Association’s (ANLA) redesigned flagship program, The New Clinic, is now available online.
Held Jan. 26-29, 2011 in Louisville, Ky., The New Clinic has been re-imagined to be more interactive, provide green industry perspective on general business practices, and deliver a faster paced learning environment. “Clinic has always been a cutting edge experience,” says Corey Bordine, Bordine’s (Mich.). “But the economy has changed, our industry’s needs have changed, and sitting through hours of lectures while being talked at is just not going to help us, as green industry businesses, remain innovative and competitive.”
Attendees at The New Clinic will find many changes in and out of the classroom. In addition to a traditional slate of speakers – many of who are new names to the industry – The New Clinic brings together a group of experts being called Specialists. Specialists will be on hand throughout the event to provide one-on-one consulting, lead discussions, and participate in some of the innovative new events like SPEEDrounds, where six different speakers present during one, fast-paced session. Specialists will also man The New Clinic’s SOLUTIONlabs, which allow attendees to address the unique challenges facing their businesses in an unstructured environment. “So often you leave a session thinking, ‘great concepts, but how do they apply for me?’” said Mary Richardson, Burnett’s Landscaping (Conn.). “The New Clinic has created a way to take general practices and not only apply them to the green industry, but down to the details of my business.”
The New Clinic is offering new ways to meet the needs of business owners. “Many of the owners in our industry have been running their businesses for a while,” said Bordine. “So often you feel like you’ve heard it all before. But, I am really excited about The New Clinic’s OWNERSonly program.” The OWNERSonly program brings in nationally recognized professional coaches and business experts to help business owners examine their own unique set of challenges. “The problems facing us don’t have easy answers, but over three days we’ll look at some powerful ways to begin creating solutions,” Bordine said.
A full schedule, session descriptions and registration for The New Clinic are available online here. Early-bird registration discounts, available to ANLA members, end at 11:59pm on Dec. 9, 2010.
