A woman received five years in prison at her sentencing Dec. 7 for embezzling $736,000 from a Los Altos, California, landscaping company, the Palo Alto Weekly reported.
Guadalupe Ruzic of Los Gatos, California, went to the Palo Alto courthouse for a sentencing hearing Dec. 7 after she pleaded no contest to charges of felony embezzlement and forgery in November.
Ruzic served as an office manager for Pazmany Bros. Landscaping since 2014 where she used more than $700,000 to purchase Gucci handbags, jewelry, a vacation timeshare and San Francisco 49ers season tickets, Palo Alto Weekly reported.
