The Committee for the Advancement of Arboriculture will host a 10-day basic tree climbing course in Manalapana, N.J.
The course will guide students on the proper and safe techniques to use when working with and in trees. Basic tree climbing skills will be taught during a combination of classroom and outdoor sessions with instructors and top climbers for hands-on training.
The course also includes: basic climbing techniques using modern tree climbing systems, rope and knot use and proper applications, target pruning, safe work practices form the ground up, first aid, chain saw safety, electrical hazard awareness, tree identification and care.
The courses will be held every Tuesday and Wednesday starting May 1st and concluding May 30th. Certificates will be offered for successful completion and
16 CEUs are available and applicable toward N.J. License Tree Expert training requirements.
