LAYTONSVILLE, Md. – Ruppert Landscape has announced the addition of Kate Bluey and Greg Hardy and the promotion of Jack Hendrickson to its D.C. Landscape Management Branch.
Bluey, a resident of Silver Spring, Maryland, has been hired as branch administrator. Prior to joining the Ruppert team, she worked as a mental health case manager, wholesale account manager, personal fitness instructor and counselor for at-risk youth. She also has experience in landscape maintenance and administration. Bluey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in human development with a concentration in human services from Virginia Tech. As branch administrator, she will be responsible for maintaining and organizing all communication in and out of the office, weekly payroll, accounts payable and receivable processing as well as generating/maintaining financial reports and other general office duties.
Hardy, a resident of Clinton, Maryland, has been hired as enhancement manager. Greg has over 30 years’ experience in the landscape industry and has held positions including ornamental plant healthcare specialist, landscape designer, turf and landscape sales manager, landscape production manager and landscape maintenance manager. He studied landscape design at George Washington University and is a Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator and Certified Horticulturist. As enhancement manager, he will be responsible for producing all of the branch’s enhancement work, purchasing and selling a portion of that work, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Hendrickson, a Baltimore resident and Landscape Industry Certified Technician (CLT), has been promoted to area manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Salisbury University and garnered experience in teaching, tutoring and marketing before joining the Ruppert team in 2010 as an assistant field manager in the Toughkenamon Landscape Management Branch. He was quickly promoted to field manager and, following a year’s absence from the company in which he served in AmeriCorps, re-joined with the Baltimore Landscape Management Branch in 2012. With his recent promotion to area manager, he has transferred to the D.C. Landscape Management Branch. As area manager, he will be responsible for the sale, renewal and production of the branch’s landscape management work; the training and development of personnel; and ensuring quality, customer service and customer retention.
“As business in the D.C. market expands and our branch continues to define itself, we find the need to add and develop talent like Kate, Greg and Jack, and we look at these personnel changes as a highly positive step in our growth,” said Charlotte McGehee, D.C. Landscape Management Branch manager.
