Briggs & Stratton expands engine line

The lineup of entry-level commercial engines will now include nine horsepower options.

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Commercial Series V-Twin engine line by Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power is expanding to offer a larger lineup of entry-level commercial engines. The lineup will now include nine horsepower options ranging from 16- to 27-gross horsepower in three engine models with displacements of 656cc, 724cc or 810cc.

Specifically designed for high-debris applications, the Commercial Series V-Twin engines offer a five-step cyclonic debris management system. Longer filter intervals, tool-less covers, debris inspection ports, drop-in air filters and a spring-loaded snap are all designed to make it easier to keep dirt and debris – major contributors to engine failure – out. A new recoil starter option helps ensure no-hassle starts, so work can begin immediately.

“The new Commercial Series engine lineup gives customers an expanded range of power solutions for more applications, including commercial walk-behind mowers and concrete surfacing equipment,” said Jim Cross, marketing manager for Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power. “The Commercial Series engines are made to start on command and combat debris-related problems that are prevalent on many jobsites so contractors can keep their equipment running stronger all day long without interruption.”

Commercial Series V-Twin engines are backed by a two-year commercial limited warranty and the industry’s strongest service network – with more than 12,000 authorized dealers nationwide. Dealer training, education and support are also provided for all Briggs & Stratton partners through the industry’s most comprehensive education and training programs.
