ASIC elects new officers and directors

Steve Hohl was elected president of the irrigation group.

Lansing, MI - held its annual meeting in Clovis, California on May 3, 2012. Steve Hohl, a Rancho San Margarita, California-based irrigation consultant, was elected president of The American Society of Irrigation Consultants (ASIC). In addition, two new board members were elected to replace two outgoing members.

Hohl, who has served as an ASIC officer for the past four years, will now chair the Executive Committee. Other professional members of the Executive Committee include Michael Krones, Frederick, Md,, Vice President; Corbin Schneider, Santa Clara, Calif., Treasurer; Ivy Munion, Livermore, Calif., Secretary; and Jeffrey Bruce, North Kansas City, Mo., Immediate Past President.

Joining members of the Executive Committee on the ASIC Board of Governors are professional members Michael Astram, North Haven, Conn.,; Chris Mitchell, Walnut Creek, Calif,, and Doug McDonald, Ft. Collins, Colo. Also joining the board are associate members Robb Kowalewski, Jain Irrigation; Vince Nolletti, Paige Electric; Kevin Oglesby, Ewing Irrigation; and Bill Thornton, the Toro Company.

Hohl has been involved in the irrigation industry for 25 years and is the owner of Water Concern, LTD. His firm offers services ranging from master utility planning for large scale communities, water use projections and resourceful water delivery, irrigation design, construction coordination and observation.

He is a graduate of Cal Poly, Pomona with a BS in Landscape Irrigation Science and has been a member of ASIC since 1997.

As President, Hohl will continue to work closely with the Allied organizations to help shape effective and responsible water use policy. He will also work to provide added professional development opportunities for ASIC members.
