Local Landscape Architect Invited to Participate at Philadelphia Flower Show

The show is at the Philadelphia Convention Center, running March 4-11.

Local ecological landscape architecture and construction company ThinkGreen will be a major exhibitor at the 2007 Philadelphia Flower Show. The show is at the Philadelphia Convention Center, running March 4-11.

For Landscape Design/Build Firms, the Flower Show isn’t a typical trade show, in that any company can gain exhibit space for a price. Companies must be extended an invitation to exhibit by The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and Flower Show officials after an extensive interview process. ThinkGreen received their invitation to participate last summer, and the company has been working on their booth ever since.

“Other than our clients complete satisfaction in our work,  I can’t think of any better vote of confidence our company could have ever received,” says Tom Johnston, principal landscape architect at ThinkGreen.  “After 4 short years in business, an invite to participate in the Flower Show is quite an honor for ThinkGreen.”

This year’s theme of the show, “The Legends of Ireland” gave the company plenty of design inspiration.  Plus, the principal, being the offspring of Irish immigrant parents, knew a thing or two about the country.

“I’ve been to Ireland many times visiting family, and have always admired the beautiful stone craftsmanship that was prevalent throughout the country side,” Johnston says.  “Be it a simple wall, a welcoming walkway or a shady terrace, the design completely evolved from those images.”

ThinkGreen’s booth at the Flower Show can be found on the main floor of the Convention Center.  Check www.flowershow.com for hours.
